Our Recover+ textile technology works by absorbing the body heat you release while you sleep and transforming it into infrared energy. When your body reabsorbs this infrared energy, it causes an increase in local circulation and, as a result, you sleep deeper and recover faster.
Although many people sleep without a mattress protector, it’s a highly recommended accessory if you want to preserve your mattress for a longer time. If your mattress gets wet, the materials inside might break down faster and develop an odor. In many cases, if your mattress gets stained, you’ll also void your warranty. To play it safe, it’s better to invest in a high-quality waterproof protector to prevent accidents from permanently damaging your mattress.
This all depends on personal preference. Some people prefer encasement protectors because they can shield against bed bugs. However, these protectors can be difficult to get on and off a mattress, and as a result, they’re a hassle to maintain. (Some sleepers may even forgo the hassle and choose not to wash their protectors as often as they should.)
If you’re not worried about bed bugs being or getting into your living space, you’ll probably be happier with a fitted sheet protector. These are easy to get on and off your mattress, and most of them can be laundered right in your washer. Plus, like our Recover+ Protector, many fitted sheet protectors have an elastic edging to prevent the material from sliding up the sides of your bed.
We use a very thin layer of TPU lamination to ensure our Recover+ Protector stays waterproof without feeling warm or rigid. This thermoplastic polyurethane film is vapor-porous, flexible, and lightweight, so it doesn’t retain heat or moisture. It’s also super durable so it should shield your bed from spills and damage for years.
Our Zoma Recover+ Protector does not qualify for the 100-night sleep trial since it works with virtually all other mattresses, but it is backed by a 1-year limited warranty.
